STORY OF SAL'S JOURNEY
2020
SAL Scholarship was born from a heartfelt belief at the very foundation of N.H.O, that those who once received support should give back to the next generation. Many of N.H.O’s leaders experienced the power of education and encouragement in their youth, and these experiences inspired the creation of the SAL Scholarship in October 2020, as one of the very first initiatives of the company’s CSR department. Since then, SAL has grown into more than just a scholarship. It is a nurturing ground for high school students from all walks of life and academic disciplines to connect, share, and grow together.

Financial
support
SAL provides essential financial assistance to help scholars focus on their academic journey. The scholarship covers university tuition (up to 5 years), living costs for the first year, and additional support such as emergency medical or life crisis assistance and nutritional care.

SAL supports scholars’ personal and professional growth through mentoring, workshops, and community-based activities. Each scholar is paired with a dedicated mentor for regular guidance and support, while workshops and skills-building programs help students develop leadership, critical thinking, and life skills.

SAL creates opportunities for scholars to connect with mentors, alumni, and partner organizations. Through community events, career guidance sessions, and company engagement, scholars can expand their networks, explore career pathways, and prepare for future professional opportunities.

SAL carries a meaningful dual symbolism. As an acronym, it stands for Serve, Achieve, Lead, representing the core values we hope to nurture in each scholar: a spirit of service, a drive for achievement, and the capacity to lead with integrity and purpose. At the same time, SAL also echoes Salt and Light. Being "salt and light" means standing out in a good way by showing kindness, honesty, and respect. Students can use their actions to positively influence others and help create a better community.
We support dedicated and gifted high school students who show potential for academic excellence and leadership; prepare them with essential support to enter university.
We help students grow, not only in knowledge, but also in character so that they will develop a sense of responsibility for themselves, their families, and their communities.
To provide continuous personal and academic support for SAL scholars through meaningful mentor-mentee relationships, fostering growth, guidance, and a spirit of giving back.
Training programs
Designed to shed light on any questions the scholars may have about academics, life skills and their future careers through social work activities, workshops, and field trips.
Enriching programs
Organizing annual activities for the students to improve their skills and experiences such as city tour for new scholars, summer trips, culture exchange, Christmas events, etc.

Lễ trao học bổng SAL
Ngày 26/09/2025, Lễ Trao Học bổng SAL với chủ đề “A Journey of Growth” đã diễn ra trong không khí trang trọng nhưng ấm áp. Sự kiện đánh dấu một cột mốc ý nghĩa trong hành trình nuôi dưỡng tri thức và ý chí bền bỉ của SAL, khi chương trình trao học bổng cho 6 sinh viên tài năng theo đuổi nhiều lĩnh vực khác nhau như Công nghệ Thông tin, Robot và Trí tuệ Nhân tạo, Truyền thông Đa phương tiện, Nghệ thuật học và Công tác xã hội.
Hội thảo WHO WE ARE
Ngày 10/09/2025, Học bổng SAL đã mang đến cho các tân sinh viên một khởi đầu đầy ý nghĩa thông qua workshop “Who We Are”. Không chỉ đơn thuần là một buổi định hướng, đây còn là hành trình khám phá và thấu hiểu bản thân, từ các hoạt động tương tác đến bài kiểm tra tính cách MBTI. Mỗi sinh viên SAL dần nhận ra điểm mạnh, điểm yếu của mình, khai mở tiềm năng bên trong và xây dựng sự tự tin để bước vào chặng hành trình mới cùng SAL.
Giáng sinh SAL
SAL Christmas không chỉ là hoạt động thường niên quy tụ những con người cùng chung một hành trình, mà còn là cơ hội để sinh viên thể hiện năng lực lãnh đạo, kỹ năng tổ chức sự kiện và vai trò của mình như những người kế thừa tích cực, tiếp nối và lan tỏa các giá trị của Học bổng SAL.
