SERVE ACHIEVE LEAD

To nurture gifted future leaders of Vietnam who will impact their communities.

SAL carries a meaningful dual symbolism. As an acronym, it stands for Serve, Achieve, Lead, representing the core values we hope to nurture in each scholar: a spirit of service, a drive for achievement, and the capacity to lead with integrity and purpose.  At the same time, SAL also echoes Salt and Light. Being "salt and light" means standing out in a good way by showing kindness, honesty, and respect. Students can use their actions to positively influence others and help create a better community.

We support dedicated and gifted high school students who show potential for academic excellence and leadership; prepare them with essential support to enter university.

We help students grow, not only in knowledge, but also in character so that they will develop a sense of responsibility for themselves, their families, and their communities.

"Beyond academic knowledge, SAL gave me opportunities to grow in ways I had never imagined.  SAL was not just a scholarship, it was a turning point that gave me confidence, resilience, and the belief that my dreams are worth fighting for."

Thi Thuong, Class of 2021

"Every person I met in this journey - the Mentors, Mentees, and the SAL team - none of them came into my life by accident. They were the raindrops that fell in just the right place. Each one helped water a little seed like me - helping me grow, gently and surely, through these precious years of youth."

Tuan Anh, Class of 2022

"In the end, I’ve learned that being a mentor isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about walking alongside someone, learning together, and growing together. I’m truly grateful for this experience, it has taught me not only more about others, but also more about myself."

Ms. Toan Van, SAL Mentor
