"I had so much fun and learned a lot through every activity. I got to know more SAL scholars and discovered different sides of each of them. The trip also inspired me to think about what I want to do after graduation, especially community projects and sharing soft skills with other students." – Cam Giang, SAL Scholar (Class of 2022)
Every summer, the SAL community looks forward to one special tradition: SAL Summer Trip.
This year, the journey took place in Đất Đỏ, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu, bringing together SAL scholars and mentors for a memorable few days. From hiking and catching shrimp to team-building games on the beach, everyone shared moments of fun, laughter, and connection.

Alongside the outdoor activities, the workshops were an important part of SAL Summer Trip 2025. The program began with a personality assessment session, helping participants better understand their own strengths and areas for growth, as well as those of their teammates. With a deeper understanding of one another, they were able to work together more effectively.
After that, participants with similar personality types joined group discussions to explore how they could contribute to the SAL community in the future. The conversations focused on three key topics: becoming mentors for future SAL scholars, developing community service projects, and supporting students through life skills and career development initiatives.

Perhaps the most memorable moment came on the final evening. SAL scholars exchanged thoughtful gifts with one another, especially for the three students graduating this academic year. As the song Phép Màu (Miracle) filled the air, the evening became a heartfelt celebration of friendship, gratitude, and the strong bonds that have grown within the SAL community.
SAL began as a scholarship program, but over the years, it has become much more than that. What keeps people connected is the community itself—the genuine friendships, the willingness to support one another without hesitation, and the comfort of knowing there is always someone to lean on. As time goes by, these connections continue to grow and become an important part of each person's journey. It is a place where people learn to listen, give, receive, and move forward together.
SAL Summer Trip 2025 has come to an end, but the memories and friendships will stay with us for a long time. Until we meet again next summer!
